Structures
Structures are friendly units/objects that spawn in to help you survive the wave or kill the enemy aliens. Structures can be spawned by certain Items and Weapons as seen on the lists below.
Engineering Builds are based around having turrets and/or Landmines around, which means a lot of structures.
Improved Tools has the ability to increase the spawn rate of
Garden's fruits and the spawn rate
Landmines. It also increases the firing rate of turrets. The amount is equal to 50% of your Attack Speed.
You can have a maximum of 100 Structures out on the map at once. If more spawns, random structures of yours are destroyed. Trees are not Structures. Each individual landmine counts towards this limit.
Some Characters have special abilities tied to structures:
- The
Engineer has an ability that makes Structures spawn together in a cluster, but it doesn't affect Landmines
- The
Streamer gains +2 armor for each structure you have, granted by weapon and items you have. So even
Wandering Bot grants armor. However with
Landmines the +2 armor doesn't depend on the amount of mines on the field, but rather just on the amount of weapons and items you have that spawns mines. The same logic applies to the Advanced Technology Achievement.
Scaling & Effects
Turrets and Landmines do not scale with Primary Primary Stats except Engineering, but do scale with Secondary Stats and other effects provided by Items.
Ugly Tooth lets your turrets slow enemies on hit.
Boxing Glove adds knockback to your turrets. Which might not be something you want.
- Turrets can inflict Burn on enemies with
Scared Sausage. This fire and the fire inflicted by
Incendiary Turret can be spread to more targets with
Snake.
Landmines and
Explosive Turret are affected by Explosive Damage, and Explosive Size. such as
Dynamite and
Plastic Explosive
- Turrets are affected by Piercing and Bounce which can be gained by
Bandana and
Ricochet.

Turrets Fire Rate
The base Fire rates of the different turrets are listed below.
You can increase the fire rate of the turrets by gaining Structure Attack Speed. Which can be gained with Clockwork Wasp or
Improved Tools.
Technomage and
Builder can also gain it through their abilities.
Turrets spawned by Wrench are the same as the turrets spawns by their respective items.
The attack speed of turrets is slightly randomised between each shot to between 70% and 130% of the attack speed. So the Attack Speeds shown here are just the averages.

Trivia
- In an earlier version of the game, Range would affect your turrets despite the Tooltip of Engineering Stating otherwise. This was fixed as bug in Patch 0.8.0.03
