Overview

Adds items and weapons from Blobfish's previous game, Space Gladiators (called "SG" here for short).

Invasion is in alpha. Everything is WIP and subject to change, but a huge amount of new content is planned.

Content

Adds items and weapons from SG, with a lot more planned:

• 82 new items
• 3 new weapons:
  • Clone - Ranged. Clone yourself at the expense of Max HP. Scales with all damage stats (). Currently OP with Life Steal, try it before the nerf!
  • Nail Bat - Melee. Scales with
  • Big Hand - Melee. Fist with sweep attacks. Scales with

Objectives

• Add every item and weapon from Space Gladiators, in some way (eg. some weapons might become items, certain effects might be changed etc.)
• Create even more difficult choices:
  • SG often gives you the choice of power vs. survivability, with many items leading to you taking more damage in exchange for power.
  • Invasion aims to reproduce some of that in Brotato, taking away your HP and Armor but giving you more opportunities to snowball into extremely powerful builds.
  • This means that, like in SG, you're almost always sacrificing one thing to gain another!
• More emphasis on underused and less-useful stats (HP Regen, Engineering).

Upcoming

Stuff that's on the mod developer's todo list:

• Balancing & effect tweaks
• More items, including Dolls and Pets.
• New weapons (approx. 20)
• New characters

Notes

• The main focus right now is adding items and weapons. Balancing things will come much later.
• This mod is developed to work with dami's multi mod script, which means it can be compatible with any other mod that includes dami's script. However, this means there a lot of limitations. No vanilla code can be changed, which limits the amount of custom effects that can be used.
• A lot of items in the current alpha give Engineering, which isn't used in this mod yet. Future updates will make more use of it.
• Lots of items also give high Harvesting or shop discounts. This gives you more chances to see and use the new items while Invasion is in development, and won't be as widespread or generous in the final release.

Note: A small single file download was previously available, but there's a bug the mod developer needs to fix, so it's been removed tempaorily. It'll be back soon.
