Overview

Adds items and weapons from Blobfish's previous game, Space Gladiators (called "SG" here for short).

Roadmap

• Alpha (current) - Add all the new content. Everything is WIP and subject to change.
• Beta - All content has been added, and will now be balanced.
• Stable - The main release. Content is balanced and final.

Mod Objectives

• Add every item and weapon from Space Gladiators, in some way (eg. some weapons might become items, certain effects might be changed etc.)
• More emphasis on underused and less-useful stats (HP Regen, Engineering).
• Create even more difficult choices:
  • SG often gives you the choice of power vs. survivability, with many items leading to you taking more damage in exchange for power.
  • Invasion aims to reproduce some of that in Brotato, taking away your HP and Armor but giving you more opportunities to snowball into extremely powerful builds.
  • This means that, like in SG, you're almost always sacrificing one thing to gain another!

Todo

The main focus right now is adding all the new content, ie. getting the basic data into the game. Balancing things will come much later, although feedback is still welcome on the Invasion Discord.

• Add New items (including Dolls and Pets)
• Add New weapons (approx. 20)
• Add New characters
• Balancing & tweaks to effects
• Make more use of Engineering and HP Regen

Note: Lots of Invasion items currently give high Harvesting and big shop discounts. This gives you more chances to see and use the new items while Invasion is in development, and won't be as widespread or generous in the final release.

Multi Mod Support

This mod is developed to work with dami's multi mod script, which means it can be compatible with any other mod that includes dami's script.

However, this means there a lot of limitations: No vanilla code can be changed, which limits the amount of custom effects that can be used.

Discord Server

You can join the Invasion Discord to give feedback and download early previews. The mod developer (Darkly77) is also available to chat in #modding-dev on the main Space Potatoes Discord.

Standalone PCK

Easiest way to install (install it like any other PCK). Game version: 0.6.1.6

Mod Loader

This is the intended way to install, as it lets you apply new updates quickly and download pre-release versions from the Discord server.

You need to download the mod loader, plus the mod's actual files.

When the mod gets update, you only need to download the new version of Invasion Mod ZIP.
